Application

Use tube adhesive to apply Palisade tiles to almost any surface. Appropriate substrates in a dry environment include framed walls with drywall, OSB, plywood, cement board, or existing tile. Palisade tiles must be attached to structures that comply with your local building codes and have incorporated appropriate moisture abatement measures.

Palisade tiles are 100% waterproof when the seams are sealed with SilTex Siliconized Acrylic Latex Sealant. We recommend following your local building codes for wet areas such as showers and tub surrounds. For these spaces, a fully waterproof substrate is best to help keep water from getting behind any unsealed areas and causing mold or other damage.

Acceptable waterproof substrates are:

Waterproof substrates, such as: Cement Board®, Schluter Kerdi Board®, GP Densheild®, Johns Manville GoBoard®, Hardiebacker®, and Fiberock® and equivalent products.
Existing ceramic tile walls—no additional preparation required.
